rāta ko āuṅ kānhā ḍar mohe lāge dīn
ko āuṅ to dekhe sāri nagarī ( hāṅ )
If I come in the night, then I will be afraid. If I come in the day, then everyone in the city will see me.
sakhī saṅga āuṅ kanha śarama mohe lāge
akeli āuṅ to bhul jāuṅ ḍagarī ( hāṅ )
If I come with Your sakhis, then I will feel very shy. If I come alone, then I will forget the roadway to your town!
dhīre dhīre caluṅ to kamara mori lacati
jhaṭapaṭa caluṅ to jhal kaye ḍagari ( hāṅ )
If I walk slowly, then my waist becomes tired. If I run quickly, then I will miss the path to Gokula!
mīra kahe prabhu giradhara nagara tuma re
daraśana bina maiṅ to ho gayī bāvarī ( hāṅ )
