dīno ghoḍā dīno aur dīnī pālakī nanda ke ānanda bhayo jaya kanhaiyā lāl kī

In happiness, Nanda Maharaja gave elephants, horses and palanquins. All glories to the darling Kanhaiya!

ko hāthi ghoḍe buḍḍheṅ ko palki nanda ke ānanda bhayo jaya kanhaiyā lāl kī

To the young people, Nanda Maharaja gave horses and elephants, to the old people palanquins.

Translation

This is a common chant in celebration of the midnight hour Lord Krsna appeared on earth. The Gujarati devotees will use Gujarati-specific postpositions in their rendition of this song.
