(Refrain) svapne sakhi punar adya
mukundam ālokayam avataṁsita-kundam

Refrain: Friend, in a dream last night I saw Mukunda decorated with a garland of jasmine flowers.

rāja-purād gokulam upayātam pramadonmādita-jananī-tātam

He had returned to Gokula from the king's city. He made His mother and father mad with happiness.

3

parama-mahotsava-ghūrṇita-ghoṣam
nayaneṅgita-kṛta-mat-paritoṣam

He inspired a tumultuous festival. His glance brought Me great happiness.

4

nava-guñjāvali-kṛta-para-bhāgam
prabala-sanātana-suhṛd-anurāgam

He was very handsome with a fresh gunja necklace. He was filled with love for His eternal friends.

Translation

1

Notes

Srila Jiva Gosvami explains that after Lord Krsna had gone to Mathura, Srimati Radharani sings this song to a friend. This song is sung in Raga Dhanasri.
