Syama Angera Sitala Pavana
(Refrain) śyāma aṅgera, śītala pavana,
tāhāra paraśa pāiyā
(Refrain) Sakhi! My heart was soothed! When I got the touch of Syama's body, which is like the cool breeze!
chi, chi, ki chāra, mānera lāgiyā,
bandhure hārāiyā chilām!
O, how disgusting! Because of My own pride I lost My lover!
śyāmala sundara, rūpa manohara,
paraśe parāṇa pāilām soi! juḍāilo mora hiyā!
I restored my life by the touch of Syamasundara, whose form is so enchanting!
torā sakhīgaṇa, korāho sināna, āniyā yamunā nīre
You sakhis! Go and bathe and then bring water from the Yamuna!
āmāra bandhura, joto amaṅgala, sakala jāuk dūre
May all inauspiciousness be removed for My friend!
śrī madhumaṅgale, āno kutūhole, bhuñjāho odana dadhi
Quickly bring Sri Madhumangala here and feed him rice and yoghurt!
baṅdhura kalyāṇe, deho nānā dāne, āmāre sadaya vidhi
Give different things in charity for the welfare of My friend, so that Fate will be kind upon Me!
nija sukha rase, pāpinī paraśe, nā jāne piyāka sukha
This sinful girl only touches Her lover for Her own happiness; She does not know what makes Her beloved happy!
kohe caṇḍī dāse, e lāgi āmāra, manete uṭhiche dukha
Candi dasa says: This feeling gives sorrow to my mind.
