tiṣṭhan vṛndāṭavī-kuñje vijñaptiṁ vidadhaty
asau vṛndāṭavīśayoḥ pāda-padmeṣu kṛpano janaḥ
A very poor man living in Vrndavana forest presents the following appeal at the lotus feet of Vrndavana's king and queen.
navendīvara-sandoha-saundaryāskandana-prabham
cāru-gorocanā-garva-gaurava-grāsi-gaurabhām
O king whose luster eclipses the splendor of newly blossomed blue lotus flowers, O queen whose fair complexion devours the intense pride of yellow gorocana,
śātakumbha-kadamba-śrī-viḍambi-sphurad-ambaram
haratā kiṁśukasyāṁśūn aṁśukena virājitām
... O king whose splendid garments mock the beauty of golden kadamba flowers, O queen whose splendid garments eclipse the glory of red kimsuka flowers,...
sarva-kaiśoravad-vṛnda-cūḍārūḍha-hariṇ-maṇim
goṣṭhāśeṣa-kiśorīṇāṁ dhammillottaṁsa-mallikām

tvāṁ ca vṛndāvanādhīśa tvāṁ ca vṛndāvaneśvari
kākubhir vandamāno'yaṁ mandaṁ prāṛthayate janaḥ
... O king of Vrndavana, O queen of Vrndavana, bowing down before You, with a choked voice this foolish person appeals to You.
yogyatā me na kācid vāṁ kṛpā-lābhāya yady api
mahā-kṛpālu-maulitvāt tathāpi kurutaṁ kṛpām
Although I am not worthy to receive Your mercy, please be merciful to me, for You are the crowns of all who are merciful.
ayogye sāparādhe'pi dṛśyante kṛpayākulāḥ
mahā-kṛpālavo hanta loke lokeśa-vanditau
O king and queen worshiped by the masters of all the worlds, they who are very merciful are filled with mercy even for the unworthy and even for the offenders.
bhakter vāṁ karuṇā-hetor leśābhāso'pi nāsti
me mahā-līleśa-ratayā tad apy atra prasīdatam
Although I have not the dimmest shadow of pure devotion, which is the only way to attain You, still, because You are the masters of playful transcendental pastimes, please be merciful to me.
jane duṣṭe'py abhakte'pi prasīdanto vilokitāḥ
mahā-līlā-maheśāś ca hā nāthau bahavo bhuvi
O my king and queen, in this world many powerful controllers and many playful persons are seen to be merciful to the impious and indifferent.
adhamo'py uttamaṁ matvā svam ajñe'pi manīṣiṇam
śiṣṭaṁ duṣṭo'py ayaṁ jantur mantuṁ vyadhita yadyapi
Although I am the lowest and You the highest, although I am fool and You the greatest philosopher, although I am wicked and You the most saintly, and although I commit offenses when I think of You, still, O king and queen the shadow of whose holy name delivers one from a host of sins, please be kind to this person who sometimes chants Your holy name.
tathāpy asmin kadācid vām adhīśau nāma-jalpini
avadya-vṛnda-nistāri-nāmābhāsau prasīdatam
Although I am the lowest and You the highest, although I am fool and You the greatest philosopher, although I am wicked and You the most saintly, and although I commit offenses when I think of You, still, O king and queen the shadow of whose holy name delivers one from a host of sins, please be kind to this person who sometimes chants Your holy name.
yad akṣamyaṁ nu yuvayoḥ sakṛd-bhakti-lavād api
tad-āgaḥ kvāpi nāsty eva kṛtāśāṁ prārthaye tataḥ
The most unpardonable sin is made nonexistent by a small particle of devotion to You. This makes me hopeful. For this reason I now appeal to You.
hanta klībo'pi jīvo'yaṁ nītaḥ kaṣṭena dhṛṣṭatām
muhuḥ prārthayate nāthau prasādaḥ ko'py udañcatu
Although this living entity is cowardly eunuch, intense pain has now made him bold. O king and queen, again and again he appeals to You. Please be kind to him.
eṣa pāpī rudann uccair ādāya radanais tṛṇam
hā nāthau nātheti prāṇī sīdaty atra prasīdatam
Loudly crying and taking a straw between his teeth, this sinful soul begs: "O king and queen, please be kind!"
hāhā-rāvam asau kurvan durbhago bhikṣate janaḥ
etāṁ me śṛṇutaṁ kākuṁ kākuṁ śṛṇutam īśvarau
Calling out, "Alas! Alas!" this unfortunate person begs: "Please hear my appeal! O king and queen, please hear my appeal!"
yāce phutkṛtya phutkṛtya hā hā kākubhir ākulaḥ
prasīdatam ayogye'pi jane'smin karuṇārṇavau
Filled with anguish and again and again calling out, "Alas! Alas!" I beg: "O oceans of mercy, please be kind to this unworthy person!"
krośaty ārta-svarair āsye nyasyāṅguṣṭham asau
janaḥ kurutaṁ kurutaṁ nāthau karuṇā-kaṇikām api
Placing his face in his hands, this person cries in anguish: "O king and queen, please, please give a small drop of Your mercy!"
vāceha dīnayā yāce sākrandam ati-manda-dhīḥ
kirataṁ karuṇa-svāntau karuṇormi-cchaṭām api
Crying, I, who am a great fool, beg in a piteous voice: "O merciful king and queen, please splash me with Your waves of mercy!"
madhurāḥ santi yāvanto bhāvāḥ sarvatra cetasaḥ
tebhyo'pi prema-madhuraṁ prasādī-kurutaṁ nijam
To they whose hearts are filled with sweet, ecstatic devotion You mercifully give sweet, pure love.
sevām evādya vāṁ devāv īhe kiñcana nāparam
prasādābhimukhau hanta bhavantau bhavatāṁ mayi
O king and queen, I wish only to serve You. I do not wish anything else. Please become kind to me.
nāthitaṁ param evedam anātha-jana-vatsalau
svaṁ sākṣād-dāsyam evāsmin prasādī-kurutaṁ jane
O king and queen who are kind to the shelter less, please be kind to this person and grant the direct service he begs.
añjaliṁ mūrdhni vinyasya dīno'yaṁ bhikṣate janaḥ
asya siddhir abhīṣṭasya sakṛd apy upapādyatām
Folded palms placed on his head, this poor person begs: "May my desire now be fulfilled."
amalo vāṁ pārimalaḥ kadā parimalan vane
anargheṇa pramodena ghrāṇaṁ me ghūrṇayiṣyati
When, coming through the forest, will Your splendid fragrance overwhelm my nose with immeasurable happiness?
rañjayisyati karṇau me haṁsa-guñjita-gañjanam
mañjulaṁ kiṁ nu yuvayor mañjīra-kala-siñjitam
When will the musical tinkling of Your anklets, which shames the swans' warbling, delight my ears?
saubhāgyāṅka-rathāṅgādi-lakṣitāni padāni vām
kadā vṛndāvane paśyann unmadiṣyaty ayaṁ janaḥ
When, seeing in Vrndavana forest Your footprints bearing a chariot wheel and other auspicious signs, will this person become mad with joy?
sarva-saundarya-maryādā-nīrājya-pada-nīrajau
kim apūrvāṇi parvāṇi hā mamākṣṇor vidhāsyatha
O king and queen whose lotus feet are the worshipable ultimate limit of all beauty, will You place these unprecedented joyful festivals before my eyes?
sucirāśā-phalābhoga-padāmbhoja-vilokanau
yuvāṁ sākṣāj-janasyāsya bhavetām iha kiṁ bhave
O Lords the sight of whose lotus feet I have for a long time yearned to see, will this person be able to directly see You in this birth?
kadā vṛndāṭavī-kuñja-kandare sundarodayau
khelantau vāṁ vilokiṣye suratau nātidūrataḥ
O splendid king and queen, when will I see You enjoying amorous pastimes nearby in the groves and caves of Vrndavana forest?
gurvāyattatayā kvāpi durlabhānyonya-vīkṣaṇau
mithaḥ sandeśa-sīdhubhyāṁ nandayisyāmi vāṁ kadā
O king and queen who, out of fear of Your superiors, rarely see each other, when will I delight You with the nectar of each other's letters?
gaveṣayantāv anyo'nyaṁ kadā vṛndāvanāntare
saṅgamayya yuvāṁ lapsye hāriṇaṁ pāritoṣikam
When, as You search for each other in Vrndavana forest, will I bring You together, and receive from You an excellent gift as a reward?
paṇīkṛta-mitho-hāra-luñcana-vyagra-hastayoḥ
kaliṁ dyūte vilokiṣye kadā vāṁ jita-kāśinoḥ
When will I, holding the fresh garland intended as the victor's prize, see Your dispute, as You both claim victory in the gambling match?
kuñje kusuma-śayyāyāṁ kadā vām arpitāṅgayoḥ
pāda-saṁvāhanaṁ hanta jano'yaṁ racayiṣyati
When, as You lay on the bed of flowers, will this person massage Your feet?
kandarpa-kalahodghaṭṭa-truṭitānāṁ latā-gṛhe
kadā gumphāya hārāṇāṁ bhavantau māṁ niyokṣyataḥ
When will You order me to repair the necklaces broken during Your amorous battle in the cottage of vines?
keli-kallola-visrastān hanta vṛndāvaneśvarau
karhi barhi-patatrair vāṁ maṇḍayiṣyāmi kuntalān
O king and queen of Vrndavana, when will I decorate Your hair with peacock feathers, the previous decorations having been washed away by the waves of Your pastimes?
kandarpa-keli-pāṇḍitya-khaṇḍitākalpayor aham
kadā vām alika-dvandvaṁ kariṣye tilakojjvalam
When will I apply splendid tilaka markings to Your foreheads, the previous decorations broken by Your great skill in amorous pastimes?
devārambhe vana-sragbhir dṛśau te devi kajjalaiḥ
ayaṁ janaḥ kadā kuñja-maṇḍape maṇḍayiṣyati
O king, when will I decorate Your chest with forest flower garlands? O queen, when will I decorate Your eyes with black kajjala? When will this person decorate You in the garden temple?
jāmbūnadābha-tāmbūlī-parṇānya-vadalayya vām
vadanāmbujayor eṣa nidhāsyati janaḥ kadā
When will this person break golden betel leaves and place them in Your mouths?
kvāsau duṣkṛta-karmāhaṁ kva vām abhyarthanedṛśī
kiṁ vā kaṁ vā na yuvayor unmādayati mādhurī
What am I? I am a sinful man. How can I make such a request? Who will not become maddened by Your transcendental sweetness?
yayā vṛndāvane jantur anarho'py eṣa vāsyate
tayaiva kṛpayā nāthau siddhiṁ kurutam īpsitam
O king and queen, by the same mercy that allows this unworthy person to reside in Vrndavana, please fulfill his desire.
kārpaṇya-pañjikām etāṁ sadā vṛndāṭavī-naṭau
giraiva jalpato'py asya jantoḥ sidhyatu vāñchitam
O king and queen who dance in Vrndavana forest, may the the desires of a person who repeatedly recites this Karpanya-panjika become fulfilled.

A very poor man living in Vrndavana forest presents the following appeal at the lotus feet of Vrndavana's king and queen.
O king whose luster eclipses the splendor of newly blossomed blue lotus flowers, O queen whose fair complexion devours the intense pride of yellow gorocana,
