mana nā bhae dasa bīsa ek hutau so
gayo syāma saṅga, ab ko aradhai īsa
Refrain: O Udhau! We do no have ten or twenty hearts. The one that we had has gone away with Syama. Who will now worship the Supreme Lord?

lagī rahata tanu khāsā jījauṅ koṭi barīsa
Our senses are dimmed without Kesava, like a creature bereft of its heads. Hope remains, though our bodies are worn out, may He live for millions of years

sakhā syāma sundara ke sakala joga ke īsa sūradāsa
yā rasa kī mahimā, jo pūchaiṅ jagadīsa
You are a friend of Syamasundara, the master of all yogas. Suradasa, the greatness of our love's sentiment, tells to the Lord of the Universe, should he ask?
