Prabhupāda: [Hindi about the Gītā conference with guest] There is good demand all over the world. [Hindi] "Kṛṣṅa is not person; Kṛṣṅa is consciousness." [Hindi] Kṛṣṅa personally speaking, and "He is consciousness." He says, yadā yadā hi dharmasya glānir bhavati bhārata [Bg 4.7]: "I come down." [Hindi] Māyāvādī. Caitanya Mahāprabhu has condemned, māyāvādi-bhāṣya śunile haya sarva-nāśa [Cc Madhya 6.169]. Caitanya-caritāmṛta he. [Hindi] Yogaḥ proktaḥ purātanaḥ [Bg 4.3].

[That very ancient science of the relationship with the Supreme is today told by Me to you because you are My devotee as well as My friend; therefore you can understand the transcendental mystery of this science.]

Kṛṣṅa said that "I am speaking to you the old yoga system." [Hindi] ...not my interpretation. [Hindi] [break] Kṛṣṅa is person. Where is that verse in the Tenth Canto?

Tamāla Kṛṣṅa: In the Bhagavad-gītā?

Prabhupāda: Paraṁ brahma paraṁ dhāma pavitraṁ paramaṁ bhavān [Bg 10.12].

Jayādvaita: Tenth Chapter.

Tamāla Kṛṣṅa:

paraṁ brahma paraṁ dhāma pavitraṁ paramaṁ bhavān puruṣaṁ śāśvataṁ divyam ādi-devam ajaṁ vibhum [Bg 10.12]

[Arjuna said: You are the Supreme Brahman, the ultimate, the supreme abode and purifier, the Absolute Truth and the eternal divine person. You are the primal God, transcendental and original, and You are the unborn and all-pervading beauty. All the great sages such as Nārada, Asita, Devala, and Vyāsa proclaim this of You, and now You Yourself are declaring it to me.]

Prabhupāda: Puruṣaṁ śāśvatam. Govindam ādi-puruṣam.

[break] This is understanding of Bhagavad-gītā. But they'll not do that. What can be done? They cannot preach Bhagavad-gītā. Sarvam etad ṛtaṁ manye [Bg 10.14].

[O Kṛṣṅa, I totally accept as truth all that You have told me. Neither the gods nor demons, O Lord, know Thy personality.]

Tamāla Kṛṣṅa: Yan māṁ vadasi keśava, na hi te bhagavan vyaktiṁ vidur devā na dānavāḥ.

Prabhupāda: Ah. [Hindi] "I have come personally." Yadā yadā hi dharmasya [Bg 4.7]. Bhagavad-gītā. [Hindi] ...as it is. [Hindi] Bhagavad-gītā as it is, never say it. [Hindi] ...imagination... [Hindi] Simply waste of time. Śrama eva hi kevalam [SB 1.2.8].

[The occupational activities a man performs according to his own position are only so much useless labor if they do not provoke attraction for the message of the Personality of Godhead.]

Vāsudeve bhagavati bhakti-yogaḥ prayojitaḥ, janayaty āśu vairāgyam [SB 1.2.7].

[By rendering devotional service unto the Personality of Godhead, Śrī Kṛṣṅa, one immediately acquires causeless knowledge and detachment from the world.]

Janayaty āśu vairāgyam. [Hindi] Yaḥ śāstra-vidhim utsṛjya vartate kāma-kārataḥ, na siddhiṁ sāvāpnoti [Bg 16.23].

[But he who discards scriptural injunctions and acts according to his own whims attains neither perfection, nor happiness, nor the supreme destination.]

[Hindi] Śrama eva hi kevalam. [Hindi with guest] There is good demand all over the world. [Hindi about American devotees] Nobody can turn them now.
